Four Movies that are going to Make Your Holiday Season Awesome
- The Hobbit
What it’s about: The hobbit Bilbo Baggins (uncle to Frodo Baggins from The Lord of the Rings) is coerced into going on a quest to rescue stolen treasure from the evil dragon Smaug by Gandalf the wizard and 13 dwarves. It stars Martin Freeman, Ian McKellen, and assorted others.
Why I am excited: I must admit that this is the movie I am looking forward to the most this holiday season. It’s the return to Middle Earth! With Peter Jackson slipping back into the director’s chair after Guillermo Del Toro had to back out a few years ago, this new trilogy couldn’t be in better hands. No one knows this material better than Peter Jackson, except maybe Tolkien. On top of the fantastic director, and beautiful cinematography that we have seen from the trailers and TV spots, there is a host of fantastic new actors and returning actors to make this one hell of a movie.
