LG Nexus 4 Battery User Replaceable

Well we just read some very good news.  Apparently, a Reddit user by the name of  ComedyMonger got a hold of some information and pictures to go along with his information that show how easy it is to replace the  LG Nexus 4′s battery.  Apparently, the back cover is easy to remove and then it is just 2 screws that hold the battery in place.  One thing to note is that the antennas for WiFi, GPS, and cellular connectivity are housed by the back cover.  While replacing the battery on the fly is not completely possible, it should be almost painless.

So does this mean that the LG Optimus G is just as easy to crack open?  We certainly hope so.  Does this also open up the possibility that we will see third-party vendors release bigger batteries or does the fact that the antennas are built-in completely eliminate those possibilities?  Here is to hoping that moving the radios is just as easy as removing the battery.  We’ve reached out to Brian Klug of Anandtech for more information.
